The Safari Dark Edition has an infotainment system, but how does it compare to tech savvy competitors?

by Ashutoshover 1 year ago0 views7 comments
In the premium space where Tata Safari Dark Edition operates, the infotainment system is a very important part of a modern SUV. The debate about how Tata’s infotainment offering measures up to that of the tech-forward Hyundai-Kia duo or MG continues. Topics usually covered may include touchscreen responsiveness, user interface design, tie in of smartphone connectivity functionalities, voice recognition quality, and over the air updates. Tata is praised by some users for elevating their infotainment game, while others think it still lags behind more mature players. It also discusses the tradeoff between physical buttons and touchscreen controls, as well as the learning curve with the system.

Tata’s not the best but they have been pretty good with software updates. I bought it, and it's gotten better.

Its physical buttons for key functions are something I also like. Much safer than trying to fumble with a touchscreen.

It has surprisingly good sound quality! The navigation system is a bit of a let down, though.

For most people, it's good enough. How many of us actually use all those fancy features for that matter?

It’s a responsive screen, but in 2024, it’s a bummer to not have wireless Android Auto.

Tata's approach is actually more my cup of tea. Its use is easier while driving and it does the job.

It’s decent by no means as slick as the offerings you get in a Hyundai or Kia. The UI could use some work.
