The performance of the Altroz iTurbo does it live up to the hype?

The much hyped iTurbo version was launched with promise of much higher performance than the naturally aspirated version. Tata says the power is up 28 percent and the torque 24 percent. But real world experiences seem to differ. For some owners, there is a huge increase in acceleration and overtaking, especially on highways. However, other drivers feel the difference is not as large in city driving conditions. And there is also debate about how the iTurbo fares against other manufacturer's turbocharged engines in the same segment. It's a machine enthusiasts are keen to see how it compares to popular rivals, such as the Hyundai i20 turbo. Potential buyers, however, will be confused between different opinions online concerning whether or not the iTurbo really delivers on the performance or is just hype advertised by Tata.

It’s not a hot hatch, but it’s certainly peppier than the NA. It's the overtaking on highways where you feel the difference most.
