The Kia Forte's infotainment system gets a lot of hype; does it live up to it?

Kia is known for its feature rich infotainment systems in their vehicles, like the Forte. Typically systems include a big touchscreen display, smartphone integration with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and plenty of connectivity. User experiences, however, can be different, and there is still debate around the system’s responsiveness, usability, and reliability. Users occasionally report glitches, or lag, but some others have praised the intuitive interface and has many features. The question of the day is how the Forte's infotainment stacks up against the systems found in pricier cars and if it's worth the money for an entry level compact.

For the price point, it’s pretty solid. The screen is responsive and Apple CarPlay works great. No complaints here!

Meh, it's okay. The Bluetooth connectivity has been troublesome so far, and the voice commands are a miss a few hit.

The Forte's infotainment feels like the future compared to an older car. It’s not perfect, but it’s miles ahead of what I had before.

I think it's overhyped. Yes, it’s fancy, but I’ve had random crashes and lag. Not impressed.

It's impressive for a budget friendly car. So don’t expect it to be as smooth as a luxury brand’s system, and you’ll be happy.

Android Auto wireless is a game changer. It makes my commute much more enjoyable.

In fact, I prefer a few functions to have physical buttons. It is distracting to have a touchscreen-everything approach.
