The Aprilia SR 125 fuel efficiency is better than its competitors in real world riding.
In the 125cc segment, where commuting is such a major use case, fuel efficiency is a very important factor when it comes to buying a scooter. With sporty character the Aprilia SR 125 has to face the issue of its fuel consumption vs more traditional 125cc scooters. Official fuel efficiency figures are provided by the manufacturer, but in reality, they differ. Riders report different mileage based on riding style, traffic conditions and maintenance. Others argue that the SR 125's performance oriented design means higher fuel consumption but they claim to achieve competitive efficiency with careful riding. The debate is also about whether a potential drop in fuel efficiency is a price worth paying for the scooter's performance and style. Also, we talk about how the SR 125 fares with regards to fuel efficiency, in varying usage patterns, such as short city commutes versus longer highway rides.

On open roads, it is quite frugal, but in stop and go traffic it is less efficient.

On my old Activa I used to get less mileage but I get better mileage on my SR 125. The way you ride it is all.

It is not fuel efficient at best. That sporty feel and look comes at a cost of some mileage.

While it’s not as efficient as some competitors, the difference isn’t huge. In my experience, maybe 5-10% less.

If you ride it hard, fuel efficiency suffers. With normal riding it's on par with other scooters in its class.

I was surprised by the SR 125’s efficiency. Consistently I get about 50-55 km/l which is very good for a car of its performance.

The fuel efficiency is on par with other sporty 125cc scooters, I find. It's not the best, but it's not the worst.

Compared to other 125cc scooters, it’s a gas guzzler. In heavy traffic, I barely get 40 km/l.

It’s not the most fuel efficient bike if you’re not sensible. On my daily commute, I manage to squeeze out around 55 km/l.

In the city I get about 45-50 km/l which is not bad but less than my friend’s Honda.
