The production of Maruti Esteem was discontinued in the year 2008. Esteem was one of the best selling Maruti cars of its time, favored by its length and a powerful engine. It uses a 1298 cc, 4-cylinder engine producing 84 BHP and 110 Nm of torque. It has a low overall height of 1395 mm while its 4085 mm of length made it quite practical for carrying a lot of stuff in its boot. The lightweight 870 kg body of the car favored an on-road mileage of around 13-15 kmpl.
