Is this the end of the true hypercar with the Apollo Intensa Emozione?

The times are changing in the automotive world, with powerplants of electric and hybrid vehicles becoming the trend that many manufacturers are working on. Here, the Apollo Intensa Emozione marks a step back in time in hypercars and gives us what we used to have raw and unfiltered. Naturally aspirated V12 engine, no hybrid assistance and pure driving experience seems to be its creed, a dying breed. The question therefore arises if it actually marks the end of an era for traditional hypercars or will not have much significance to the current automotive landscape. Is it a last hurrah for combustion only hypercars due to its limited production run and superlative performance capabilities, or will they still have their place in the future of cars?

Absolutely! What we have here with the IE is a pure, unadulterated hypercar experience that may never come again. It sounded like the last roar of the dinosaurs before the meteor hit.

No, it's not the last, nah. These insane machines will always people willing to pay for them. Pagani or Koenigsegg – they're still kicking out crazy ICE hypercars.

It is, for sure, definitely one of the last, but not the last. Before regulations completely kill off ICE hypercars, I think we’ll see one or two more extreme ones.

The IE is a statement more than the (last) true hypercar. This shows that there is still a passion for the raw, mechanical beasts although electric is the way of the future.

I would say the 'true hyper car' died years ago when they all decided to finally add mechanical traction to the mix. The IE is truly just a really cool throwback.

Being the last is not desirable, being timeless is. Whether it was his best work or not, that will become irrelevant because the IE will be remembered as being one of the greats.

However, I'm not so sure that's the end of what the IE is, it seems to be a love letter to the old school hypercar. But as long as there are passionate engineers and people with enough money, there will continue to be extreme machines like this.
