The Yamaha YZF-R6 is no longer available as a street-legal bike in most regions. Since 2021, it has been sold exclusively as a non-homologated, track-only version, known as the Yamaha YZF-R6 RACE, primarily in Europe and in limited quantities in the USA. This shift was due to the bike not meeting the stringent Euro5 emission standards and a general focus on track performance rather than street usability.
