Is the Yamaha FZS V4 Deluxe worth paying extra for over standard FZS V4?

by @sukhmandeepover 1 year ago0 views8 answers
The Yamaha FZS V4 Deluxe has some added features than the standard FZS V4 but that comes with a higher price tag. Both versions have the same engine and core performance characteristics, but some riders are questioning if the extra features are worth the extra cost. The argument revolves around whether the upgrades mounted on the Deluxe offer enough of a value proposition on the riding experience or simply add encapsulation that holds no true advantage. Improved instrument cluster, LED headlights, Bluetooth connectivity, and other special features such as exclusive to the Deluxe version should also be taken into account. For prospective buyers in the dilemma of whether to stretch their budget for the Deluxe or be happy with the standard, it's a common one.

This is way overkill for a commuter bike. It’s already a great standard FZS V4. Save that extra cash for gear or fuel.

I was undecided, but once I went for test rides on both, I went for the Deluxe. It just gives me a feeling of a more complete, more satisfying overall package.

The resale value alone makes the Deluxe version totally worth it. It will hold its price better in the long run.

No, it is just a marketing gimmick. Save that extra money for some aftermarket upgrades. That way, you’ll get more bang for your buck.

I have ridden both, and the Deluxe feels a more premium bike. Actually Bluetooth connectivity is pretty useful for navigation. If you can afford it, it's worth it.

It depends on what you value. If you are a tech person and want the latest features then go Deluxe. If all you need is a solid commuter, go for the standard.

Disagree. The LED headlights alone on the Deluxe make it worth it. The better visibility at night is a huge safety plus, and it just looks a lot cooler too.

I really don't think it's worth it. It's basically the same core riding experience, you're just paying extra for some bling and a nicer display. Keep your cash and opt for the standard version.
