In recent years there have been rapid advancements in infotainment technology in the automotive world. Having seen the XUV500's system in action, it's clear that the car's very much out of date. For this question we want to see where the XUV500 stands when it comes to infotainment offerings. All variants come with features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. How user friendly the interface is compared to more modern systems? How responsive? Do you still find any unique features that still make it stand out? So, let’s talk about the XUV500’s infotainment system’s pros and cons, and if it delivers what tech savvy drivers expect in 2024.

The infotainment system of the XUV500 honestly feels dated in 2024. Today's standards for a car's screen, its size and its interface aren't very snappy. It’s not the sexiest car, but it gets the job done, and it has Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, which is what most people use anyway.

The XUV500’s simpler infotainment system is actually the one I prefer. It’s not flashy like the massive screens in new cars, but it’s functional and less distracting. Moreover, you can access all of the modern features you need with smartphone integration.

Since I love tech, I feel the XUV500’s system is a bit frustrating. It responds slow and the UI is clunky. But it’s still usable, and if you don’t care about having the most up to date product, it works fine for the basic functions like navigation and music.

I recently test drove both an XUV500 and an XUV700, and there are night and day differences between the infotainment systems. In comparison, the 500's system feels ancient. If you know your tech, you may be disappointed. It's fine for basic use, though.

Fact is, nobody is buying an XUV500 in 2024 for its state of the art infotainment. It's functional but outdated. But I’ve discovered that aftermarket upgrades can make a huge difference. It’s not a million miles away from modern standards and a few mods can bring it closer without you having to break the bank.
