Is the XEV 9e Pack Three premium worth the premium over lower variants?
The top end variant of the XEV 9e Pack Three, priced at Rs 30.5 lakh, has been positioned by Mahindra. The car comes with a larger 79 kWh battery that can offer over 500 km of real world range, more power at 282 bhp and a host of premium features like AR HUD, infinity roof and a 16 speaker Harman Kardon sound system. But it comes with a huge premium over the base Pack One variant. These not only throw potential buyers a curveball when coming to the value proposition but also creates questions about feature set differences and the difference in price from the previous generation of storage unit. There are those who will say the base variant offers better value and those who will say it’s worth splurging on the premium features. It's also a debate about how it stacks up against rivals in the premium electric SUV segment at this price.
Absolutely worth it! It's the larger battery alone that justifies the price bump: 500+ km range is a game changer for road trips.
Nah, the base is good enough. For the most part, the only Pack Three feature you'll use is a fancy gimmick.
It depends on your needs. If you’re a tech enthusiast who loves gadgets, Pack Three is a dream. The only problem is that for regular commuters, perhaps not.
It is worth it just for the sound system. Did you hear Harman Kardon setup? It’s like having a concert hall on wheels!
In my opinion, for the ADAS features it's worth it. Enhanced safety tech is great peace of mind for family buyers.
It’s expensive, but you can have a lifetime warranty on the battery. For long term ownership costs that’s huge.
The killer feature for me is the AR-HUD. Yes, it’s not just cool, it’s actually useful for navigation and safety.
