Is the V4 a daily to use bike?

The Ducati V4, whether in its Panigale or Streetfighter variants, can be used as a daily bike, but it comes with some caveats. The bike's powerful 1103 cc V4 engine, producing up to 212 HP and 90.6 lb-ft of torque, makes it highly capable but also demanding. One of the significant issues is the engine heat, particularly in traffic, which can be uncomfortable and even cause mild burns to the rider's thighs, even with protective gear and aftermarket exhausts. Despite this, the bike's ergonomics are designed to be relatively comfortable for daily use. The Streetfighter V4 S, for example, has an upright riding position with tall, flat handlebars and well-padded seats, making it surprisingly effortless to ride in city conditions. The electronically controlled suspension and various riding modes, including a reduced power mode for daily use, also enhance its usability. However, the bike's nature as a high-performance sportbike means it is best suited for riders who can appreciate its aggressive characteristics and are willing to manage its heat and power delivery. For those who primarily ride on highways or enjoy spirited weekend rides, the V4 can be an excellent choice, but for purely urban commuting, it might not be the most practical option due to its heat and power profile.
