The size of the Toyota Vitz is often debated among fans of the vehicle when it comes to safety. Small doesn't mean unsafe. As with many other Subaru vehicles, the Vitz is a safe bet for safe driving. It is also smaller, which makes it more manoeuvrable, and therefore less likely to get involved in an accident in the first place.
