Is the Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor a rebadged Maruti Suzuki Fronx?

Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor and Maruti Suzuki Fronx look striking similar in design, features and specifications. In size, engine options offered, interior layout, the two vehicles are compact SUVs that compete with one another. Car enthusiasts having been discussing whether Taisor is just a rebadged Fronx or otherwise has significant differences. Some say Toyota may have made subtle differences between the two, but others say it's essentially the same car but with a different badge. The question this debate raises is has Toyota done enough to justify the Taisor as a separate model compared to the Fronx, and what is the value proposition of the Taisor over the Fronx?

It's basically a carbon copy with a Toyota badge stuck on the front. Same car, different logo.

The grille design and bumpers are different, but yeah, it's a Fronx in Toyota clothing.

I believe Toyota may have changed a little bit the suspension tuning. The Fronx feels slightly more comfortable than this.

It’s a rebadge, let’s be real. Toyota's after sales service might make it worth considering over the Maruti version though.

One thing that could make or break a purchase for some buyers is a longer warranty period, which the Taisor has.

I've heard that the NVH levels are slightly better in the Taisor. I'm sure Toyota added some extra insulation.

That's just a rebadge, and that's not necessarily a bad thing. You get Toyota's reliability reputation with Maruti's proven mechanicals.
