Is the Tata Nexon's safety ratings just an overhyped reality?
The 5 star Global NCAP safety rated Tata Nexon has been making waves in the Indian automotive market. The Tata Nexon boasts one of the safest car segments in its segment, and this achievement has been a major selling point for Tata Motors. But critics point out that this mark might be overgeneralized, and its use might distract consumers from other capabilities of the car. There are also arguments regarding how well these crash test results actually translate to real world safety on Indian roads, where challenges don't all fall within the purview of real standard tests. And some wonder if the safety rating emphasis has come at the expense of other areas of the car's design or performance. This question is to ask if it is all the hype the Nexon is getting about safety ratings or are we overplaying it?
The 5* rating is real, not everything! Yes, it’s good for marketing but real world safety is more than just crash test. The Nexon's build quality is decent but then there's also active safety features and the much talked about driver assistance tech.
