Is the Supro CNG payload sufficient for most small business needs?

The critical specification for many small businesses and independent operators is a payload capacity of 750 kg and the Mahindra Supro CNG Duo delivers that, justifying its price tag. It is a mini truck capacity, vying with other similar products in the market. The question for many of these users is whether or not this payload is enough for their particular business needs, or if they are always pushing the capacity of the vehicle. The Supro's payload is good or bad depending on different factors such as what type of goods are being moved, how long is the usual route, or how often do trips take place. For some businesses, the capacity may be just about right for their operations and they will be able to transport efficiently and economically. Some may feel constrained and thus overloading or making multiple trips might be necessary. While competing against other SUVs and trucks, this segment's buyers want to strike a balance between a vehicle's compact size, maneuverability, and fuel efficiency with the payload capacity it can accommodate.

When you have a small grocery delivery business like mine, the 750 kg payload is plenty. I don’t often max it out, but the compact size is perfect for squeezing through tight city streets and squeezing into small parking spaces. It's ideal for my needs.

For my construction supply business, it is a bit limiting. For larger orders I often have to make multiple trips and this eats into my profits. If it were truly versatile, I wish it had at least 1 ton capacity.

The payload is perfect as a florist. This allows me to carry a good amount of flowers and arrangements without the fear of them being damaged. And the lower capacity actually helps me from overloading and keeping my products safe.

I have a small courier service and the 750 kg capacity is usually ok. But in the peak season, like Diwali, I have a problem of less space. It's a trade off between capacity and the vehicle's agility in traffic.

For me, it's a bit of a squeeze for my catering business. I can do most orders, but for bigger events I have to make multiple trips or rent a bigger vehicle. It works but not too good for expansion.

I believe this is a sweet spot for many small businesses. In other words, it’s enough capacity to be useful without being overkill. Most urban delivery needs are made up for by the fuel efficiency you get with this size.

I deliver home appliances and the payload is sufficient for most deliveries. For larger items, such as refrigerators, that can be a little difficult. They’ve forced me to be more creative with loading and scheduling.
