Is the Safari Dark Edition’s third row actually usable for adults?

by Ashutoshover 1 year ago0 views7 comments
The Tata Safari, including its Dark Edition, is a seven seater SUV that was marketed as a seven seater SUV but has been a matter of much discussion among potential buyers and owners about how practical is the third row. A third row adds versatility, but the usability of that third row for adult passengers on longer journeys is often questioned. Legroom, headroom, ease of access – there’s plenty to consider, as are seat comfort and the availability of amenities such as AC vents and charging ports. While some say the third row is fine for occasional use or for children, others think it's too cramped for anyone but small kids. It also debates the use of the third row and whether the 6 seater captain seat layout may be the better option for those who only have the need for seven seats from time to time.

My teenagers complain about the lack of space back there, let alone adults.

For adults I use it all the time. I just need to move the second row a little to make space.

While it’s usable, getting in and out is a workout. It’s not great if you’re not flexible.

Compared to others in the segment, the third row is actually pretty decent. At least you get AC vents.

I'm 5'10" and I can do it, but it's not exactly comfortable. Good in a pinch though.

Adults? No way. Back there is kids only territory.

For short trips, it’s fine, but I wouldn’t want to be back there more than an hour.
