Is the new Verna so comfortable and feature rich that it has lost the fun to drive character of the previous generation?
Hyundai Verna has a tradition of delivering peppy performance and drive dynamics and other dynamic performance and, in particular, its turbo variants. But with each new generation, some enthusiasts perceive that the car is getting more comfortable, full of features and less sporty. With a new generation of the car, it comes with a host of new technologies and comfort features and debates as to whether this has made the car less engaging to drive. For some, the new Verna has gone too soft and insulated, losing the connected feeling of earlier generations that made them fun to drive. But others say the car has simply adapted to the needs of a wider clientele that cares more about comfort and technology than sporty handling. Much of this discussion involves comparisons to past Verna models and competitor vehicles which are viewed as having a more driver oriented approach.
I don't believe it's lost its charm. The added features just round out the package a bit, but the turbo variant is still a blast to drive.
