Is the KTM Duke 125 a good bike for a first bike?

by @geeta.autosover 1 year ago0 views8 answers
The KTM Duke 125 is frequently thought of as a first motorcycle for new riders. For a small-displacement bike with sporty looks and KTM's reputation for performance, it looks good. However, it has raised eyebrows as to whether it’s the best choice for a beginner, looking at both its price point and power output. There are those who say it’s perfect for learning, while others claim they can find better value or performance elsewhere. Urban vs. rural riding, licensing restrictions, and long-term satisfaction are some of the factors. In this article, we’ll take a look at some different views as to whether the Duke 125 is a good investment for new riders or if there are better options available.

If you want a more versatile used bike that will be more fun in the long run, you can get one for the price. The Duke 125 is like training wheels.

If you're going to upgrade within a year or two, I'd say it's worth it. It is value-retaining so that you will not lose much when you sell the car.

If you can, do it. It’s got great build quality, and you’ll learn proper throttle control and cornering techniques.

I believe it’s less of a practical first bike and more of a fashion statement. You are paying for the KTM brand and looks.

I started on one and loved it. Yes, you will eventually want more power, but it teaches you good habits and is a blast in the city.

It depends on where you live. It's great in Europe with tiered licensing. In the US or India? It probably was too small for most people.

No, it's overpriced for what it is. A used 250cc bike will give you more room to grow as a rider, and you'll be better off with it.

Absolutely! The Duke 125 is a perfect beginner's bike. It's light, easy to handle, and powerful enough to be fun, not overpowering.
