Is the Honda SP125 really the king of comfort in its segment?

by @geeta.autosover 1 year ago0 views7 answers
The Honda SP125 has been marketed as a comfortable commuter bike, but there's been some debate about its actual comfort level, especially when compared to other bikes in the 125cc segment. Some riders have reported issues with the rear suspension being too stiff, leading to an uncomfortable ride on longer journeys or bumpy roads. Others claim that Hero bikes offer better comfort. There's also discussion about the seat design and its impact on rider comfort during extended rides. Given these mixed opinions, it's worth exploring whether the SP125 lives up to its comfort claims or if other bikes in the segment might offer a better riding experience.

The comfort is okay, but it's the fuel efficiency that makes it the king of its segment. You can't have everything!

I switched from a Splendor to the SP125, and I actually find the firmer ride more comfortable. It feels more stable on highways.

Aftermarket modifications can greatly improve the comfort. I added a gel seat cover and softer fork oil, and now it's perfect.

The seat could be better, but overall, it's still one of the most comfortable bikes in its class. You can't beat Honda's refinement.

I think people exaggerate the comfort issues. I've done 200 km trips on my SP125 without any problems.

It depends on your riding style. For short city commutes, the SP125 is fine. But for longer rides, I'd choose something else.

No way! I've ridden both the SP125 and Hero Glamour, and the Glamour is way more comfortable. The SP125's rear suspension is way too stiff.
