Is the Flying Flea C6 a practical everyday urban commuter?
The Flying Flea C6 is being billed as a compact electric motorcycle for city use, but its unusual design makes you wonder if it would be practical for everyday commuting. For urban riders, things like how far your bike will take you, how long it'll take to charge, how big its storage capacity is and how nimble it is on traffic will all come into play. The bike's unconventional frame and seating position may also take some getting used to and may affect comfort on longer rides or in different weather. When electric vehicles start to become more popular in cities, potential buyers will probably start to compare the Flying Flea C6 with other electric motorcycles as well as electric scooters and even small cars. Does the Flying Flea C6's unique design provide true benefits to the city dweller or does it put style above functional city transportation?
It could be great for short commutes, I think. The smaller size should make it easy to work though traffic and get into tight parking situations. And as an electric, there are no emissions for the eco conscious city dweller. The real test will be range and the charging infrastructure.
