Is the extra price of the Aprilia SR 125 worth it?
However, the Aprilia SR 125 is quite sporty both in looks and performance, but costs more than the other 125cc scooters in the market. Extra cost is justified by brand name, build quality and riding experience, say some riders who own a 125cc scooter, while others think it is overpriced for the same 125cc scooter. Debates rage about whether premium features and Italian design are worth the higher initial cost and even possible higher maintenance bills. Moreover, some users add that the stiff suspension and sporty riding position may not be perfect for everyone, or simply too much for daily commuting in busy city traffic. Potential buyers and enthusiasts also discuss the scooter's performance in real world conditions as compared to its competitors.

It's a mixed bag. Great looks and performance, but it’s a tough sell for some because of the higher maintenance costs and less comfortable ride.

Riding experience justifies the price. The scooter feels like a small motorcycle, which is awesome.

You could get a more powerful motorcycle for the same price. If you’re not dead set on a scooter, there are better options.

I'd say it's overpriced. Parts are expensive and the stiff suspension can be a pain for daily use. The scooter is more of a weekend toy than a practical scooter.

If you like to take in the little things, the SR 125 is worth it. In its class, there is no other build quality or attention to design.

It’s more of a status symbol than anything. You're not paying for better performance, you're paying for the brand.

I've had mine for a year, and I do not regret it in the least. You get premium features and ride quality for the premium price.

That depends on what you’re after. If you want something sporty and unique, go for it. For practical commuting, however, there are better options.

No, it's too expensive for what it is. If you can get a Honda or Yamaha 125 for much less and they are just as reliable.

Absolutely worth it! The SR 125 is a head turner and a dream to ride. You are paying for a quality engineering and that sweet Italian design.
