Is the Discover 110’s headlight good enough for night riding?

What has been talked about by riders who frequently ride after dark is the headlight performance of the Bajaj Discover 110. Stock headlight brightness and spread is praised by some users, who say it's plenty bright for city streets and even a few rural roads. Some think they are underpowered in comparison to newer models sporting an LED setup. Many times, the debate includes comparisons to other bikes in the same segment, and discussion of legality and practicality of aftermarket upgrades. Riders talk about what it’s like to night ride in different situations, from brightly lit city streets to pitch black country roads. It also discusses the importance of headlight performance for safety, and whether manufacturers should focus more on improving lighting in even lower cost models.

For city riding it's ok, but I wouldn't trust it on dark highways.

I went to an LED bulb, and now it's like daylight. Best mod ever!

If you're not trying to outride it, it's fine, but the stock light is fine. Just slow down at night.

The Discover's headlight is actually pretty good compared to my old Splendor.

It's barely adequate. All I can think is that I’m straining to see the road ahead.

It does the job for a 110cc commuter. You can't expect car like illumination at this price.

I think it's a safety issue. Even if it means a slight price hike, Bajaj should improve this.
