Over the last few years, there has been a noticeable change in the direction of Indian automotive landscape and SUVs have become the preferred choice of many consumers due to the higher ground clearance and commanding road presence on offer. As a result of this trend, sedan sales have been falling in all segments. A spacious and comfortable sedan that it is, the Ciaz has been battling it out for buyers not just with other sedans but with compact SUVs too. Sedans like the Ciaz certainly have their backers that say the better driving dynamics and fuel efficiency, while SUVs are considered more practical on Indian road conditions. But the argument continues and extends to things like interior space, boot capacity and overall value for money.
