But with the TecPac upgrade, the Bajaj Chetak 3201 comes with a bunch of high tech features which can be overwhelming for the less tech savvy riders. It has a digital console, smartphone connectivity and riding modes. These features may add to the comfort of the ride, but for some users, also bring with confusion and frustration. Owners have discussed how learning curve associated with these technologies and their reliability and ease of use. But some say the tech features are intuitive and improve the riding experience, while others view them as unnecessary and distracting. Other concerns are about dependence on smartphones for certain functions and the possibility of technical glitches. While the debate rages on with regard to the charging process, some find it perfectly easy while others do encounter problems with the different indicators and settings. In community forums it is often debated whether these advanced features are really necessary on a scooter, especially for older or less tech inclined riders.

My dad is not even a tech guy, and he rides my Chetak without any issues. The basic functions are pretty simple.

The app and connectivity features are more trouble than they’re worth, I find. They don't work half the time anyway.

It's definitely got a learning curve, but the dealer's tutorial helped. It takes a week to get second nature.

The nice tech features aren’t essential. The Chetak can be used easily without ever connecting it to your phone.

I actually find the Chetak’s interface intuitive as a person who struggles with tech. It doesn't look so complicated.

At first, charging is a bit of a mystery. I wish the indicators were a little more straightforward for non tech people.

While I love the tech features, they could be a bit much to take in for some. The display should have a 'simple mode' from Bajaj.

It took my mom awhile to warm up to the idea, but she's now big pluses on checking the range and battery with the app. You just have to get used to it.
