Is the Bajaj Pulsar N160 2 Channel ABS worth the additional price over the single channel version?
The Pulsar N160 is available in single channel ABS and dual channel ABS, with the latter being quite dearer than the former. Dual channel ABS is a better safety feature but some riders feel that a 160cc bike doesn’t need it. There is also the question whether the extra cost, for added braking performance and safety, is worth it for typical urban commuting usecases. This decision is influenced by factors such as riding conditions, personal skill level and budget constraints. Moreover, some riders think that the single channel ABS version is sufficient for the safety of its use, while others argue that safety should be given preference regardless of the engine capacity.

I ride in the hills a lot and, as such, I can say that the dual channel ABS is worth the money. On those twisty roads it is a lifesaver.

To be honest, I don’t think it’s anything other than a marketing gimmick. Learn how to brake properly, and you don’t need dual channel ABS on a 160cc bike.

It's not just about the ABS. The dual channel version also has better tires and a slightly different suspension setup. Overall, it’s a more refined package.

I'd say go for it. When you think about the long term benefits though, the price difference isn’t that much. It’s also a nice feature to have should you ever want to sell the bike.

Depends on your riding style. If you’re a daily commuter in heavy traffic, the dual channel ABS is peace of mind. The single channel is fine for weekend rides, however.

Nope, it’s overkill for a 160cc bike. Instead, save your money and spend it on better riding gear. Fancy ABS will do more for your safety than that.

Absolutely worth it! I've had both versions, and the dual channel ABS makes all the difference in wet conditions. It has saved my bacon more than once.
