Is the Bajaj Discover 150S dead?

Earlier, when the Bajaj Discover 150S was offered, this has been a house hold name performance wise, perfect for those looking for commuter comfort with a hint of sport in them. But there have been rumors that it will be discontinued. Riders in some areas can’t find new models in showrooms, while others say it’s still available. This has led to debates on whether Bajaj has quietly phased out the Discover 150S or production issues are troubling the bike. The uncertainty has sparked debates over its legacy in the Indian motorcycle market, or whether Bajaj will replace it with a new model. Fans are torn between nostalgia for the Discover and what could be next for Bajaj's product line up.

No, nah, it is not dead, it's just hibernating. Perhaps Bajaj realized people want more bling these days and is working on a Discover 150 Xtreme Pro Max or something.

I think it's gone for good. Last month my cousin tried to buy one and the dealer laughed at him. He said something about 'living in the past' and tried to push a Pulsar on him instead.

Some places it's definitely still around. Last week, I saw one in a showroom in a small town. Is Bajaj clearing old stock or testing demand in different markets?

Who cares if it's dead? The Discover was always a confused bike: it was never as comfy as a true commuter, it was never as sporty as a Pulsar. Good riddance, I say.

I'm sure it will be coming back, but with a major overhaul. They wouldn't just abandon the 150cc segment because the 150cc segment is hot right now. Soon expect a new Discover with fancy LED lights and a TFT screen.

That's probably gone now, which is not a bad thing. It was the Discover which paved the way for better 150cc options. The spirit of that bike lives on in bikes such as the Pulsar N150.

I hope it's not dead. My dad is still a staunch supporter of his 2014 Discover 150S. It's the perfect balance for Indian roads, says. Perhaps Bajaj should pay more heed to loyal customers.
