Is the Bajaj Discover 100T the 'Ultimate 100cc' bike?

The Discover 100T was marketed by Bajaj as the 'Ultimate 100' on launch and had the advanced features of a 4 valve engine, DTS-i technology and sporty styling. Does it really live up to that bold claim, though? For its part, some owners swear by it, saying it's great fuel economy, while others say it is lacking with certain aspects. The position that the bike sits between basic 100cc commuters and more powerful 125cc options also throws up the question of what it is aimed at and for whom. So let’s dig into the debate of whether or not the Discover 100T is really the ultimate or just clever marketing hype.

The "ultimate" claim is subjective. Perfect for some, it’s a perfect balance of power and efficiency. It's a jack of all trades, master of none for others.

Launched with a lot of fanfare, it was revolutionary at the time, but Bajaj didn't update it enough over the years. A missed opportunity to keep it ultimate.

I would say it is the ultimate 100cc... for Bajaj. In some ways, other brands have caught up or gone beyond it.

It’s impressive tech for its time, but it’s dated now. Bikes with 110cc are now as modern as they are similar in performance but better refined.

It's a mixed bag. Good for city riding but not so much for highways. At best, I would say that it's the "ultimate 100cc for urban commuters".

Nah, it's overhyped. The engine is good, and it, but the build quality is meh. With electricals and plastics, my cousins had constant niggles.

Absolutely! It is a game changer. I've had one for 5 years and it still beats my friends newer 125cc bikes.
