Is the Bajaj Discover 100M a city commuter or is it comfortable enough for long rides?
While the Bajaj Discover 100M is mainly marketed as an efficient city commuter, some have ridden it on longer trips. It has sparked debates about how comfortable (or capable) it is for long rides. Its touring potential is influenced by factors such as seat comfort, riding position, vibration levels and fuel tank capacity. Longer trips are praised by some riders for its balance of comfort and efficiency, but others find it lacking for anything beyond city use. The conversation tends to devolve into a comparison to purpose built touring bikes and discussion over the pros and cons of touring on a commuter versus buying a dedicated touring bike.
I took mine on a 500km weekend trip. Surprisingly comfortable! It was bearable, being upright and with a decent seat. Not ideal, but doable for sure.
