Is the Bajaj CT100 capable of doing long distance touring?

by Ashutoshover 1 year ago0 views7 comments
The Bajaj CT100 is essentially a Commuter bike for the urban and rural areas. But some daring riders have expanded its territory and have taken it on multistate tours and even cross country adventures. All of this has sparked conversations about the bike’s potential to do more than its name suggests. There is comfort, fuel tank capacity, engine faring at highway speeds and reliability for extended periods. The CT100 may lack the features you’d expect in a touring bike, but simplicity and ease of repair could be an advantage on long journeys. Can the CT100 be a viable option for budget travelers or should riders go with more specialized touring bikes?

You can do it, but it’s not fun. If it’s your goal, you’re better off saving up for a proper touring bike.

I wouldn't recommend it. The engine labors at higher speeds, the small fuel tank requires stops more frequently.

It’s surprisingly capable for the price. You won't be able to keep up with bigger bikes on highways, though.

I've seen some people do some crazy long trips on these. It’s less about the bike, and more about the rider’s spirit.

It can, but you have to change it. Add a better seat, windshield, maybe a few luggage options. Then it's decent for touring.

No way! It’s a nightmare for long rides with the vibrations and lack of power. With this one, stick to short commutes.

My CT100 did a 2000 km trip and was fine. It's not comfortable, but on a tight budget it gets the job done.
