Is the Bajaj CT100 as indestructible as everyone says it is?

Due to their extremely high durability and longevity, Bajaj CT100 has attained a reputation of being such vehicles, many owners boast of very high mileage without main problem. In fact, some users have even taken their CT100 on long cross country trips, testing the bike to it's limits. But there are also reports of quality problems and lots of repairs. But debate has ensued as to whether the CT100’s reputation for toughness is deserved or whether it’s all a myth. These opinions can be factored by maintenance, riding conditions, and individual experiences. In addition, the bike's perceived durability is due to its simple design and the availability of parts pretty much everywhere. However, is this enough to make it 'indestructible' or are there better options at the same price?

Absolutely! I’ve got over 120,000 km on my CT100 and it still runs like a champ. I've only had to do basic maintenance, and it's been through hell and back.

It is tough, but not unbreakable. But mine started to have problems around 50,000 km. The key is to not push it too hard and keep regular maintenance.

I think it's overhyped. It's sure reliable for a cheap bike, but I've had little constant problems that just add up over time. It’s not the best of options.

The CT100 is a cockroach: it'll survive anything! I've dropped mine, overloaded it, ignored it, and it always starts right back up.

It all depends on your definition of 'indestructible'. At the price, it's extremely durable. Don't expect luxury bike performance or longevity, though.

I have seen these bikes working just fine after 15+ years. They aren't fancy, but if you take care of them they will last.

The newer ones seem to have more quality control issues, but the older models were tanks. That's not as bulletproof as it once was.
