Is the Bajaj CT 110X a secret budget adventure bike?

by @ashutosh.kumarover 1 year ago0 views7 answers
While the CT 110X has earned a name for itself as a rugged and versatile commuter, riders are starting to view it as something more than just a basic transportation vehicle. The Bajaj Pulsar is quite raised with a sturdy build and can handle rough roads, but there is a debate going on whether the humble Bajaj can be dubbed as a budget friendly adventure bike. The CT 110X has even been taken off road by some owners, with surprising results. It’s triggered conversations about how to make the bike more adventurous, with some enthusiasts suggesting simple upgrades like better tires or a small luggage rack to bring more touring potential to the bike. Many riders who wish to venture beyond the city limits on a low cost, low maintenance adventure bike will find this idea appealing.

The CT 110X is the Swiss Army knife of bikes — it can do a little bit of everything. Not the best at anything in particular, but strangely able at everything.

It's pretty much an adventure commuter, not an adventure bike. Great for those who want a little more versatility without being full ADV.

Some crazy stuff has happened with the CT 110X. The guy in my town that uses it for light off roading and seems to love it. The bike is not all about the bike.

With a few mods it could definitely be a budget ADV. Naturally, add some knobby tyres and a small luggage rack and you've got yourself a mini adventure machine!

I would say it’s more of an all rounder than a true adventure bike. It would be great for daily commutes, but weekend trips are fine but I wouldn’t take it on a Ladakh expedition.

We should not allow ourselves to be carried away here. It still has the soul of a basic commuter. Yes, it can take some rough patches, but it’s not an adventure bike by any means.

Absolutely! I’ve ridden my CT 110X on some pretty gnarly village roads and it’s handled them like a champ. While it's not a KTM Adventure it's pretty damn capable for the asking price.
