Is the Bajaj Boxer BM150 the best budget commuter bike for India?

by @ashutosh.kumarover 1 year ago0 views7 answers
For years, the Bajaj Boxer BM150 has been a popular choice for budget conscious riders in India. It’s been known for its no frills design, fuel efficiency and reliability. However, in today’s competition market and changing consumer preferences, do we still need the Boxer BM150 as the go-to affordable daily commuter? Some say its simplicity is a strength, others say it’s old fashioned compared to newer models. While the bike might not have all the modern features competitors come with but it does really tick in terms of the rugged build quality and very low maintenance, something people really like. Its bare bones approach is also questioned as to whether it still has a place or whether riders now demand more even from budget bikes. We will take different views on whether the Boxer BM150 deserves to be called the ultimate budget commuter for Indian roads.

It's still king for rural areas. This is rugged build, easy to repair, suitable for rough roads and places without fancy service centers.

I think it's lost its edge. At similar price points other brands now offer better build quality and features. Bajaj needs to up their game.

That's not always bad, but it’s outdated. With a simple design, there are fewer things to break, which is fantastic for areas with limited service options.

I would argue it's still a top contender. It’s a low maintenance, fuel efficient machine that budget conscious riders can use for basic transportation.

It depends on your needs. It’s tough to beat for pure commuting in tough conditions. If you're looking for any sort of style or features, look elsewhere.

It’s way too basic now, no way. Budget buyers want some features. For a little more money you can get much better options.

Absolutely! For the price, the Boxer BM150 is unbeatable. It’s the Nokia 3310 of bikes, simple, reliable and does the job without any fuss.
