Is the augmented reality display on the TVS iQube Vision a game changer or a distraction?

The TVS iQube Vision is a vehicle that comes with an augmented reality (AR) display system, which projects information onto the rider’s field of view. The feature has been the source of intense debate among riders and safety experts. Its proponents say it improves safety by diverting the rider's eyes from the road, and provides important information such as navigation, speed and battery status. It's the future of two wheeler interfaces, they claim. But critics are concerned that the AR display could be more of a distraction than a help, swamping the rider with information and distracting from the road. The system also works poorly in different lighting conditions and weather conditions. This technology is relatively new in the two wheeler segment, so many are questioning its reliability and if it is really necessary or just another high tech gimmick. This discussion often touches on the learning curve of using such a system, and whether it is right for all kinds of riders.

Initially, I was skeptical, but after a bit of use I can’t imagine riding without it. It's a heads up display kind of thing in real life, like in a video game!
