Is the Ashok Leyland Bada Dost i4 LX worth all the hype it has gained among small business owners?
Absolutely worth it! Last year, I changed from a Tata Ace to the Bada Dost i4 LX and my business has never been better. It means that I will have fewer trips and therefore save time and fuel.
Overhyped, if you ask me. Yeah, it’s all nice and shiny, but it’s still a mini truck. Fortunately, if you know where to look, you can get similar performance from cheaper alternatives.
This will depend on your requirements. The Bada Dost i4 LX has been a godsend for my courier service in Mumbai. My drivers are happy in traffic in the AC cabin, and the fuel efficiency is no joke.
I am ambivalent about this. The specs look nice on paper, but I heard online that it is not so good on hilly terrain. Maybe its great for cities; rural use however or unsure.
I have been in transport business for over 20 years, and I can say the Bada Dost i4 LX is a good investment. While pricier upfront, the low maintenance costs and good resale value make up for it in the long run.
I truly believe that it is simply clever marketing. I still use my old Mahindra Bolero Pickup for the job. Why fix what isn't broken?
My vegetable supply business has received a huge boost by Bada Dost i4 LX. With the increased loading area I can move more produce at a time and the fuel efficiency cuts down on costs.
It's good, but not great. When I think 'four wheel drive', I wish they had spent the time making the suspension onto rough roads better rather than adding the fancy tech features in.
I would say it's worth considering but don't get shelled like a bloody crab. Test drive, test drive it, compare it, determine if it fits your business model and budget — do the math.
