Is the Aprilia Tuono 660 a good first bike for a tall rider?
It’s no secret that many new riders have a hard time finding a bike that will be beginner friendly and comfortable for their height. Some taller riders who are interested in starting their motorcycling journey found the Aprilia Tuono 660. But the question is how powerful and featureful it is for newcomers, especially those with bigger frames. It’s too much bike for a beginner, according to some, and perfect for learning, say others. Upright riding position, adjustable suspension and electronic aids are all factors. Now let's have a look at some different points of view on the Tuono 660 being a good first motorcycle for a tall rider.
Absolutely! I'm 6'2" and was on a Tuono 660 when I started. For taller riders, the upright position is great and the power is manageable if you know what you’re doing.
I'd be cautious. It is comfortable for tall riders, but 95hp may be too much for a beginner. Maybe you should look at something like a CB500F first.
It all depends on your self control. The Tuono 660 has great electronics that will help new riders, but you still need to respect the power.
I think it's a great choice. In terms of ergonomics, the bike's spot on for taller riders and you won't outgrow it as quickly as a smaller bike.
I had started on a 300cc and as a tall rider, I wish I'd gone straight to something like the Tuono 660. It is versatile and you can grow into it.
Regardless of height, it’s a bit much for a first bike. It’s not cheap and it’s not easy to drop, so I would not recommend it to new riders.
Tall beginners will love the Tuono 660! The riding modes let you be conservative and work your way up into more power as you get more comfortable.
