Is the Amo Mobility Feisty EV really all that it’s made out to be?
In India, the electric scooter market is booming with new models popping up left and right. The Feisty EV from Amo Mobility has been getting some attention lately, but is this just marketing noise or does it actually deliver? In fact, I’ve been riding the Feisty EV for about three months and it’s been a bit of a mixed bag. In traffic, the speed control switch is pretty handy, but the side stand sensor is finicky sometimes. Range wise, I’m getting about 65-70 km on a full charge which is decent but not what they advertise about 75-100 km.
I rode the Feisty EV as a test mule and I think it's overhyped. Some other options in the same price range feel a bit more well made. Also, the 6 hours to charge is just too much for me.
I don’t think people are giving the Feisty EV enough credit. Given its price point, the features you get for your buck are great. The alloy wheels look pretty sleek and the EABS braking system is a nice safety touch.
Some areas are justified by the hype but not all. The Feisty EV is super easy to maneuver, as its lightweight design (58 kg) makes it easy to get around the city. The top speed of 25 kmph is a bit disappointing if you want to cover longer distances, however.
I've had my Feisty EV for 6 months and I'm pretty happy. There is a clear and informative digital display, and a USB charging port that is a lifesaver. But I just wish they’d make the suspension system a bit better – it can be a bit harsh on bumpy roads.
The Feisty EV is entry level at best, let’s be real. For short commutes, it’s fine but for something with more power and range you’d be better off investing in a higher end model. For serious e-scooter enthusiasts, the 1.92 kWh battery just doesn’t cut it.
The Feisty EV deserves some credit for making electric mobility open up to more people. It's not perfect, but for a lot of first time EV buyers, it's a good way to get a toe in the water with electric vehicles without spending too much money.
Most of the hype about the Feisty EV is just marketing fluff. I rode one for test and found the acceleration to be slow and the overall ride quality just OK. Some might argue that it works, but there are better options available if you’re willing to spend a little more.
I commute daily and find the Feisty EV to be just fine for that. The range is adequate and low maintenance costs also add up. It's not a high performance machine – it's a practical, affordable electric scooter and it does that job well.
The reason I was excited about the Feisty EV is now after driving one for a few months, I’m underwhelmed. Battery life seems to degrade faster than I thought it would, and the after sales service has been hit or miss. I think it's a good scooter, but I don't think it's everything it's cracked up to be.
