Is the Altroz CNG value for money?
In comparison with other hatchbacks offering CNG in their line up, the Tata Altroz CNG costs more. Tata generally justifies this premium pricing by claiming the car is built better, safer and more refined than its other competitors. But some potential buyers and critics say the performance, especially in CNG mode, doesn't live up to the price point. Automotive enthusiasts have been debating the car's acceleration, top speed and driving dynamics in CNG mode. Secondly, the additional initial cost of CNG fuel efficiency must be balanced against the potential savings from the long term fuel efficiency of CNG. Does the Altroz CNG perform as expected as compared to its petrol sibling? Do the performance compromises get made up by the overall package including features, safety, and brand value? So, let’s find out if the Altroz CNG is worth your money.
From what I’ve seen the performance is okay for city driving, but it does feel a bit slow on the highway. It sometime has some loose parts but the build quality and features make up for it. You know, it’s not just about speed.
Tata is asking too much for what you get, I think. It's well built, yes, but performance in CNG mode is pretty disappointing. Cars are better for less money.
It's a trade-off. You're paying for safety, style and cheaper to run. Yes, it's worth it if those are your priorities. It's not for pure performance, however.
If you look at the long term savings, the pricing is justified. Yes, it's more expensive upfront, but the fuel savings really start to rack up, particularly if you drive a lot.
I'd say it's overpriced. CNG performance is decent, but Tata’s service network is not spick and span as Maruti or Hyundai. You’re paying a premium for the badge, and for the looks.
