Is Nissan Terra's infotainment system a deal breaker?

by Ashutoshover 1 year ago0 views7 comments
For many buyers, the infotainment system in vehicles is becoming increasingly important, and sometimes is even a key factor in the buying decision. The Nissan Terra offers a hit and a miss when it comes to infotainment with some lauding its performance and others lambasting the system’s user interface and performance. As a result, there has been conversation about whether the shortcomings of the system are enough to turn off potential buyers, when compared to competitors that may have more advanced, or user friendly, systems. Features such as smartphone integration, navigation and overall ease of use usually figure in the debate of what constitutes a modern SUV.

If it has Android Auto then I’m happy. I don’t really care about the rest of the interface.

It’s not terrible, but it’s not great. I think infotainment systems are made too big a deal of. However, the other features of the Terra more than makeup for it.

The simplicity of the Terra’s infotainment is actually something I like. It doesn’t all have to be a touchscreen interface. Sometimes basic is better.

Nissan really needs to step up their game here, but the system is fine. They feel like they’re behind on tech compared to the competition.

Almost a deal breaker for me. Anyone who spends a lot of time in their car knows that a clunky infotainment system is a daily annoyance. Partly because of this, I ended up with a competitor.

I don't think it's that bad. It's not the fanciest system in the world, but it does what it needs to. Plus, I don’t use the native interface for anything anymore with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The infotainment system is honestly pretty dated. It works, but it’s not as slick as you’d find in a Hyundai or Kia. Now, it’s not a deal breaker for me, but it is very much a weak point.
