Is massive glass area like the Staria's a gimmick or a real feature?
An expansive glass area such as the large windshield and side windows is one of the few things that make up the Hyundai Staria's uniqueness. This design choice opens the interior up to an incredibly airy feel, and could potentially improve the driver’s ability to see and the passenger experience. But it also brings up practicality and comfort. Sunshine can significantly heat large glass areas, and these can make it more work for the air conditioner. But replacement could also be costly if such large panes of glass are damaged. Some users also said that they had problems with glare and a lack of privacy. The other way around, though, the panoramic views could be a huge selling point to families and the Staria could be a great vehicle to travel and see sights in.
It's awesome! It must have incredible visibility and would make road trips way more fun.
A recipe for a greenhouse effect, seems. I hope they have some serious AC to deal with that heat gain.
The idea is great, but I fear the practicality. If that windshield cracks, it’s going to cost a fortune to replace.
It's a bit of both. Good for sightseeing, but I'd be always wiping fingerprints off all that glass.
I think this would be amazing, as I get carsick. It would really help with motion sickness.
Cool, but I’d be worried about privacy. Driving around town, you would feel as though you were in a fishbowl.
I think it’s great for families. It would make long drives much more bearable and kids would love the views.
