Is lacking modern features such as fuel injection, an ABS braking system, and much more a deal breaker or an old fashioned charm for the Royal Enfield Bullet 250?

The Royal Enfield Bullet 250 is the quintessential basic motorbike, with few features that are taken for granted on today’s motorbikes. It also includes basic elements, such as electric start (on some models), fuel injection and advanced electronics. Some riders like it simple, and that’s more pure fun, while others find it frustrating, and maybe even dangerous. The debate is often over whether these omissions enhance the classic riding experience, or are just outdated and impractical. Backers say that a lack of modern features makes riders more attuned to their rides, detrackers, meanwhile, say that it’s too hard, and possibly dangerous, especially for newer riders. Often, this discussion turns into bigger discussions about a balance of tradition and progress in motorcyle design.

The lack of modern features is what I adore about the Bullet 250 for me. It’s a raw, pure riding experience. It’s you, the bike and just the road with no fancy electronics or rider aids. Motorcycling at its most basic.
