Is driving a Toyota Belta every day the height of car enthusiasm or automotive apathy?

However, there are those who would say that choosing the simplest, most no frills car possible as a daily driver is an admission that one doesn't care about driving and automotive culture. The question here is a questioning of car enthusiasm itself. Does driving exotic or high performance vehicles excite true enthusiasm or is there a purer form of appreciation in enjoying a well designed, practical car like the Belta?
