Is Bajaj’s retro design of the Chetak 3502 TecPac a hit or a miss?

Bajaj Chetak 3502 TecPac offers a retro styled electric scooter with modern tech, making it as unique as it gets in the electric scooter market. In its design, it takes after the Chetak scooter but has modern touches such as LED lighting and a digital display. Old and new mesh in this one, and the enthusiasm it’s sparked amongst fans has been about whether it hits the mark in terms of nostalgia or is trying too hard to attract multiple generations. It’s retro design stands out in a sea of futuristic looking EVs, some say, but others think it may limit its appeal to younger riders. The scooter’s design also questions whether retro styling ages well in the fast changing EV market.

The retro design is fine, but I hoped they would have gone fully into the retro look rather than this half way house.

It's a miss for me. I don’t want my EV to look old, I want it to look futuristic, not something my grandpa rides.

I think Bajaj nailed it. Older folks who remember the original Chetak are lured by the retro design, while younger riders by the tech features. Smart move.

It’s a cool design, but I fear it will age poorly. But what is retro chic today might be dated in a few years.

It's growing on me. I thought it was weird at first, but I love how it’s different from all the other generic looking e scooters out there.

I don't know, it's trying too hard. All the high tech features make the retro look forced. It's like going to a space station in bell bottom pants.

I love the retro design! Great mixture of modern tech and good old days. I get the good memories of the old, and feel it's still fresh.
