It was available in two options i.e. Bajaj Chetak 2-Stroke and Bajaj Chetak 4-Stroke. The 2-stroke variant is powered by a 145.45 cc, 2 stroke engine which generates a maximum power of 7.5 bhp @ 5500 rpm and churns out a maximum torque of 10.8 Nm @ 3500 rpm. On the other side, the 4-stroke option has got a 125 cc engine which yields a maximum power of 8.0 bhp@6500rpm and churns out a maximum torque of 9.4nm@5000rpm. But as per the latest buzz, Bajaj is planning to re-launch the Chetak 4-stroke scooter in India by the end of 2015 or by mid 2016.
