Is Bajaj going to re-launch the Chetak scooter in India?
Whether, in fact is Bajaj going to launch any of its hand geared scooters again or any new model in near future? If yes, I am interested to add it to my fleet.

Bajaj has no plans to relaunch this scooter in India. If you want to purchase this scooter, please contact your nearest 2nd hand motor bikes dealers. It was available in two options i.e. Bajaj Chetak 2-Stroke and Bajaj Chetak 4-Stroke. The 2-stroke variant is powered by a 145.45 cc, 2 stroke engine which generates a maximum power of 7.5 bhp @ 5500 rpm and churns out a maximum torque of 10.8 Nm @ 3500 rpm. On the other side, the 4-stroke option has got a 125 cc engine which yields a maximum power of 8.0 bhp@6500rpm and churns out a maximum torque of 9.4nm@5000rpm. But as per the latest buzz, Bajaj is planning to re-launch the Chetak 4-stroke scooter in India by the end of 2015 or by mid 2016.
