If Yamaha made a 300cc version of the BW's, what would you want to see?

The Yamaha BW's 125 has made a niche for itself as a compact, stylish urban adventurer. But what if Yamaha were to supersize the concept with the hypothetical BW's 300? It could very well compete with bikes like the Honda ADV350 or even smaller adventure motorcycles. So it's fun to speculate on what features and capabilities Yamaha may include to make a BW's 300 stand out in the market. It would be more inclined to be serious off road ability, long distance touring comfort or urban performance? Brainstorming our dream spec sheet for our imaginary BW’s 300 and talk about how it could be a better 125cc model.

For on and off road use, you definitely need adjustable suspension. Yamaha, please, give us a proper windscreen for highway comfort!

I would like to see some real adventure bike features, like wire spoke wheels, crash bars, and a skid plate. Make it able to handle some real off road action.

It would be amazing with cruise control and TFT display for longer trips. And of course, heated grips for those cold morning commutes too!

What about a hybrid power train? City use electric, longer trips and more power when needed gas engine.

I would love to see a variant with a manual transmission though. I know it's not the standard for scooters, but it would be so much more fun to ride.

It gets the tech from Yamaha's sport bikes - traction control, riding modes, perhaps even wheelie control for those adventurous types.

Let’s forget off road pretensions and make it a high performance urban scooter. Tune that 300cc engine for maximum smiles per gallon in the city, lower it, add sticky tires.

How about modular bodywork? You could switch between sleek urban panels and more rugged adventure style bodywork depending on your plan for the day.

I'd like serious luggage capacity. It’s got to give it panniers and a top box that you can take off for city use but has enough room for real touring.

Keep it simple! We’ll just take the classic BW’s styling, with more power and better brakes. We don’t need to overcomplicate everything with tech.
