One of the most important factors to consider when picking an electric scooter is weight capacity, and the Aeroride E Spark has found itself at the center of some debate among riders of varying sizes. The real world experience can be different than what the manufacturer list for specific weight limit. Heavier riders report excellent performance and stability, but some report a reduction in range or acceleration. Also, how long is the long term durability when you are constantly riding at or near the weight limit? Now we will see how the E Spark behaves for riders in various weight ranges and if it’s a good choice for those on the heavier side who are seeking a reliable electric scooter.

I am about 220lbs and the E-Spark handles it like a champ. Nothing slow or range challenged even on hills.

It's not bad, though if you're close to the weight limit you will definitely notice a drop in performance. You might want to look at more powerful options.

I've seen some big dudes ride these without problems. For best performance, however, it’s important just to keep the tires properly inflated.

I was worried as a heavier rider but it’s been great. It’s a nice wide deck, which also helps with stability.

It works, but you’ll get better range if you're lighter. And physics is physics, isn’t it?

I'm way over the 'recommended' weight limit, and I haven't had any problems with this in the last six months of daily riding. These things are built tough!

It handles it surprisingly well for a two up (not that I recommend that, but hey my partner and I sometimes ride two up). Just don't expect top speed.

If you are on the bigger side you may want to upgrade the suspension to make it more comfortable. It makes a big difference.
