How reliable is the Super Carry under heavy daily use?
Many small businesses and entrepreneurs rely on their commercial vehicle as their lifeline. Since the Maruti Super Carry is much cheaper than other factory manufactured ones, most of the time it is preferred because of it. Yet how does it hold up in the long term, especially when you have to put it through its paces every day? What common issues tend to arise over time? Against other commercial vehicles in its class, how do maintenance costs and frequency fare? Now, let’s take a look at the experiences of long term Super Carry owners who subjected their vehicle to the harshest of tests, day in and day out. What are some surprising durability wins or unexpected weak points that appear after so many years of hard work?
Mine is at 200,000 km and still going. Basic maintenance is key.
It's a mixed bag. Some of the parts are bulletproof, some of them seem to wear out way too fast.
It's surprisingly tough for the price. But don't expect luxury car longevity.
The engine is solid and the suspension suffers if you're always at max load.
I know, I’ve had mine for 5 years and daily abuse. The only thing, was just normal wear and tear.
But if you treat it right, it’s reliable. If you overload it constantly, things will break, obviously.
It appears that the CNG version has fewer issues in the long haul. Maybe it's worth the extra initial cost.
