Hyundai Verna takes 11.49 seconds to reach 100 kmph with a 1.6 L petrol motor whereas the 1.6 L diesel motor takes the car to the same in 10.54 seconds only. The car comes with 1.4 L petrol and diesel engines in their respective base models but those have not been popular in the sedan segment. The fuel efficiency of the bigger engines is nearly equal when compared on the road to the smaller ones, making them less popular among the Verna buyers.
