How fuel efficient is the Honda Vision 110 as they say it is?

Honda is advertising the Vision 110 as one of the most fuel-efficient scooters in its segment, delivering some great mileage numbers. But, in reality, real-world experiences just don’t always match up with manufacturer claims. Riding style, terrain, and load have all contributed to riders reporting very varying fuel consumption rates. While some users claim to achieve even better mileage than advertised, others are under the expected figures. This discrepancy has led to a debate between scooter fans about how efficient the Vision 110 really is and whether Honda's numbers stack up in real-world use. Comparisons to other popular scooters in the same category have also furthered the discussion regarding the Vision 110’s fuel economy performance.

My Vision 110 is about a year old now, and I can honestly say that it’s a fuel sipper! On average, I’m getting 110–120 mpg, which is even better than what Honda claims. For my daily commute, it's perfect.

I really don't think the fuel efficiency claims are as good as they sound. Mine is only getting about 90 mpg. It’s good still, but not as amazing as Honda would have you believe.

How you ride also really affects fuel efficiency. If you're always gunning it and riding at top speed, you're not going to see those numbers advertised. With careful riding, though, it's definitely possible to hit or even surpass Honda's claims.

The Vision 110 is most efficient in city riding, I found. On highways the fuel economy goes way down. If you're mostly urban commuting, then you'll probably see those high mpg numbers.

Let’s be real here: no vehicle ever reaches the advertised fuel economy in real-world conditions. On that note, the Vision 110 is still one of the most efficient scooters that I’ve ridden. Some people make it out to be a lot more miraculous than it actually is.

I think people forget that the weight of the rider, tire pressure, and regular maintenance also contribute a lot to fuel efficiency. Until I optimized these factors, my Vision 110 was pretty average, but now I'm seeing those high mpg numbers.

I’ve owned both a Vision 110 and a PCX125, and the Vision is definitely more fuel efficient. It may not reach the exact advertised figures, but it's certainly class-leading in my experience.
