For many riders, this means navigating congested city streets and stop and go traffic each day, particularly in urban areas. Because the Yamaha FZS V4 Deluxe is a favorite among city commuters, its performance in such challenging conditions is always under the scanner. However, riders are interested to know how it compares to rivals such as the Bajaj Pulsar N160, TVS Apache RTR 160 4V and Honda SP 160 in terms of agility, clutch feel, heat management, as well as general riding comfort during periods of slow moving traffic. Weight distribution, turning radius and low speed stability are all crucial factors that will either make or break the riding experience in the congested areas. But another thing that interests potential buyers is the effectiveness of its cooling system to prevent overheating while waiting at traffic signals for long periods, a common scenario for urban riding.

In traffic, the FZS V4 Deluxe is a champ. It’s easy to weave through cars with its light clutch and nimble handling. A hell of a lot better than my old Apache.

It's not bad, but I think the Pulsar N160 is more comfortable in stop and go situations. In heavy traffic the FZS can get a bit hot.

It’s honestly pretty average. It’s nothing special compared to others of its class. Does the job, but don't expect miracles in bumper to bumper traffic.

It handles so well in traffic, I love it. Great visibility, the throttle response is smooth for those slow crawls.

The Honda SP 160 is more refined in heavy traffic, but it’s good. At very low speeds the FZS V4 Deluxe can be a bit jerky.

I know this as I commute daily in Mumbai traffic. Easy to maneuver, it’s a lifesaver.

The heat management could be better, but the bike does well. After being stuck in traffic for a while my legs get pretty toasty.

It's a mixed bag. The engine heat can be annoying in summer traffic jams, but the engine is great handling and easy to filter through tight spots.
