How does the CT125X stack up off road compared to more expensive adventure bikes?
The Bajaj CT125X is usually touted as a bike that can do both the city streets and the rough terrain. It is a budget commuter at heart, but a rugged design and high ground clearance suggest some off road capability. This makes me wonder how it really does when not on the beaten path. But can it really compete on dirt trails and over uneven surfaces? What is its suspension and handling like compared to purpose built adventure bikes that cost an awful lot more? What kind of modifications or upgrades can be made to make it off road worthy? So, let’s take the CT125X off the pavement and explore what it can do for riders looking for adventure on a budget.
It won't compete with a proper ADV bike, but the CT125X can do light off roading surprisingly well. I took mine on a few dirt roads and some mild trails, and it did fine. The good thing is that the high ground clearance.
